Cusco, Valle Sagrado, Maras, Moray, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu

DESTINOS
This is the easiest way to experience Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu in one well-organized trip. You begin with a leisurely half-day city tour of Cusco to acclimatize and get your bearings (ideal for the altitude), and then spend a full day exploring the most famous stops in the Sacred Valley: Pisac, Moray, the Maras Salt Mines, and Ollantaytambo, before taking the afternoon train to Aguas Calientes. On Day 3, you'll visit Machu Picchu early in the morning with a guided tour that explains what you're seeing in a simple yet engaging way: how the site functioned, why the Incas built it here, and what makes it so special. After the visit, you return to Cusco by train and private transport, arriving that same evening. It's the same proven route as our longer program, only shorter because we've removed the last night's hotel stay in Cusco. Even so, you visit the same key locations, receive the same level of service, and enjoy seamless logistics from start to finish.

We'll meet you at Cusco airport and take you directly to your hotel in the city center. This first day is intentionally easy: Cusco is at a high altitude, and starting off calmly will help you feel better for the rest of your trip. Around 1:00 p.m., your guide will pick you up for a relaxed city tour. You'll walk through Cusco's main square and historic streets, visit Qoricancha, and explore the famous Inca sites above the city: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. It's the perfect first glimpse into the ancient Inca capital and will help you better understand what you'll see in the Sacred Valley and at Machu Picchu.
After breakfast, we'll pick you up around 7:00 a.m. and head to the Sacred Valley. This is one of the most scenic days of the trip: mountain views, local culture, and incredible Inca sites, all in one day. You'll visit a camelid center, enjoy scenic viewpoints along the way, and explore Pisac (ruins and market). Then you'll stop for lunch in Urubamba. In the afternoon, you'll visit Moray (its famous circular terraces) and the Maras Salt Mines, one of the most unique landscapes in the valley. The day ends in Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town with impressive stonework and a special atmosphere. After dinner, you'll board the afternoon Expedition train to Aguas Calientes and check into your hotel to rest and prepare for Machu Picchu.
We start early. After breakfast, we'll line up for the bus and head up to Machu Picchu. Your guide will lead the tour and explain the site clearly and simply: the purpose of each area, how the water systems worked, and why this place still feels so special today. After the guided tour, you'll have time for photos. If you pre-booked an extra hike (Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain), you can do it after the guided tour (spaces are limited, and you can only hike one). Then it's time to return: bus down to Aguas Calientes, Expedition train to Ollantaytambo, and private transport to Cusco. We usually arrive in Cusco around 7:30 p.m., and the tour ends upon arrival.
